Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn (born August 19, 1965), is an American actress. She is most famous for her part as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson in the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick received the Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson as well as an Emmy Award 2010 for her performance. After the conclusion of the seventh season, the show was canceled on the 13th of August, 2012. Sedgwick is also well-known for her recurring role on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, playing Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was awarded an Golden Globe Award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other roles in films include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's The Ones (1992) The Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) as well as What's Cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was born in New York City, the daughter of Patricia (nee Rosenwald), who was a speech instructor and educational/family therapy therapist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick V, the venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish and her father was Episcopalian. She was also of English descent. Sedgwick has stated that she is Jewish and has been a participant in Passover dinners.
