Jennifer Rene Psaki

Jennifer Rene Psaki (American political advisor) was the 34th White House secretary. She served this role from 2021-2022. As a part of the Democratic Party, she previously was a part of the Obama administration as the White House deputy press secretary (2009) as well as the White House deputy communications director (2009-2011) and the spokesperson for the United States Department of State (2013-2015) and as the White House communications director (2015-2017. Psaki worked as a CNN political contributor from 2017 and 2020. Psaki's career began in 2001 when she began working for the reelection campaigns of Tom Harkin, an Iowa Democrats for the U.S. Senate. Psaki later served as deputy press secretary for John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign. Psaki was also the communications director for Joseph Crowley, a U.S. Representative, and the regional press secretary of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee from 2005 until 2006. In 2012, Psaki returned to political communications as press secretary for the Obama reelection campaign in 2012. [20] Psaki resigned as spokesperson for United States Department of State, on February 11, 2013. Her appointment at the Department of State fueled speculation that she would succeed White House Press Secretary Jay Carney after he left the White House on May 30th in 2014 it was announced Josh Earnest would replace Carney. She was recalled to the White House as Communications Director in the year 2015 and was in place until the end.
